Project Period(s): Two to four day programs within an activity that meet the same time every day. These programs focus on attaining specific skills. Campers can earn badges if they meet the requirements. Campers choose which projects they wish to participate in Projects may be co-ed or separated, depending on the activity.
Period 3: Includes all boy and all girl games. These games are honored traditions at both camps, and are unique. Tornado ball, speedball, rounders, divide and conquer, all-girls exercise are a few examples.....don't worry if you have never heard of these games....you will undoubtedly learn to love them.
Period 4: Programs vary from day to day. Activities may include one-day specialty projects, free-choice period, sailing races, tennis round-robins, musical theater rehearsal, horseback riding, etc. Campers choose their activities for this period each day, except on days for which we have leagues like volleyball, basketball, softball and soccer. Campers do, however, choose the league(s) they wish to participate in.
Evening Program: This time is typically used for special events like socials, friendship fires and skit nights. Additional activities include all camp games, leagues, horseback riding, and one-day projects.Cabin Day: Sundays are cabin days. Each cabin group may reserve most camp activities throughout the day (horseback riding, sailing, tennis, etc), or take a short canoe trip or water-ski trip to Tappan Lake. Sometimes cabin groups get together and decide to spend the day together. In the evening, each cabin group has a cook-out at their own fire-pit.
